Our client is one of the largest, global manufacturing and distribution organizations in the West and we are searching for a talented IT Project Manager to design and implement efficient, flexible digital projects on a global scale. This is a senior level role with the ability to influence IT and business direction as well as mentor junior staff on best in breed technology and business processes. With an overall mission of wellness and research into sustainable products, you will be a part of a mindful community, working to bring the enterprise to the cutting edge of technology. You will have the opportunity to influence our technology landscape through collaboration with other engineers, product owners, architects, managers and the executive team. Our ideal candidate will be a technical leader with expertise in Technical Project Management and a passion for applying technology to solve business challenges.

In addition to a solid track record of advanced IT Project Management, the right candidate will have several, but may not have all, of the following skills experience and attributes:

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the management of technical project(s) or program teams from initiation through implementation; includes: planning, analysis, design development and implementation
  • Provides overall direction for establishing project requirements, priorities and deadlines
  • Integrates project plans into program plans
  • Establishes roles and responsibilities within the core program team
  • Allocates and coordinates resources (staff, equipment, vendors and consultants) across one or more projects
  • Manages budget for assigned project(s), develops and monitors project/program plan(s), and adjusts resources and priorities accordingly
  • Aligns business unit, technical development and support organizations
  • Establishes program communication plan across the businesses, regions, support and technology groups
  • Prepare and present progress reports for senior management
  • Management of project from original concept through final implementation

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum of 2 years project management or development experience
  • Strong business analysis skills and communications skills required
  • Experience managing multiple budgets and financial constraints
  • Must be able to effectively negotiate and communicate vendor expectations
  • Experience in an Agile development environment
  • Experience with Microsoft Project
  • Microsoft office experience (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Visio)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Expert in Microsoft Project and Microsoft Project Server
  • Building complex multi-phase project schedules
  • Tracking dependencies and milestones
  • Resource dependency tracking and resolution
  • Experience with an e-commerce company
  • Usability design experience
  • PMP certification preferred
