Reflecting on 2024: A Year of Resilience and Partnership

As 2024 draws to a close, I can’t help but reflect on everything this year has brought - the challenges, the victories, and the moments that reminded us why we do what we do. Like so many in the tech industry, 2024 has been a year of uncertainty. Massive layoffs and economic pressures have reshaped the industry, testing our strength and the strength of our clients and candidates. Yet, even in the face of these trials, there’s been something remarkable about how businesses, leaders, and teams have pulled together.


For us at Blackmere, this year has been about more than just weathering the storm. It’s been about using that storm as fuel for innovation, growth, and deeper partnerships with the clients and candidates we serve.  This year has been about solving problems, finding opportunities in the face of obstacles, and reminding ourselves that our purpose is to deliver value to every client and candidate who trusts us with their vision.


For me personally, 2024 wasn’t just about navigating a tough year; it was about showing up every day and working with our incredible team to do the work that matters. While this year wasn’t without its hurdles, it gave us plenty to celebrate. With financial stability as our foundation, we tackled every storm head-on, innovated in ways we hadn’t anticipated, and positioned ourselves for even greater opportunities in 2025.
